Mi Chef Caters LLC is a family owned, full service, off-site custom caterer and has been catering corporate and private events in the North Houston area since 2003. Owners Chef Mark and Isabel started their business with their four children, several family members and friends. To meet the demands of their growing business and at the same time share their delicious recipes and dining experience with neighbors, local business people and educators, they moved their operation to Mi Chef’s Café and Grill, 20629 Aldine Westfield Road in 2006.
Chef Mark is an experienced chef with over 30 years of food service experience. Chef Mark has received numerous recognitions; most notably, Chef of the Year in 1995 and Regional Chef Humanitarian in 2000. Additionally, Chef Mark has been recognized as an Apprenticeship-training Chef for local area young chefs. He has trained in several of the area's top hotels and has worked side-by-side with many great French chefs. His recipes and notes have been published in the Houston Chronicle and various industry magazines. Chef Mark has had the honor of cooking for many wonderful families, dignitaries and amazing groups of people over his career. He has prepared foods for all of the latest Presidents of the United States, Presidents and Executives of Houston’s largest companies, rock and pop singers, and many wonderful and fascinating guests.
Isabel has over 20 years of human resource and public administration work experience, working both in the public and private business sectors. She worked as a registrar for the Houston International University which gave her the experience of dealing with a vast array of people from around the world. Isabel has been a mentor, trainer and translator for Hispanic workers. She has been very instrumental and inspirational in establishing their family owned business.
Through their dynamic mix, Chef Mark and Isabel are able to work well with you, the client, to accommodate and create an outstanding event. They are proud to create your event by making it your own very unique idea and a memory of a lifetime for your guests.
Chef Mark and Isabel are dedicated to the industry and hold memberships in the Texas Chef Association ACF, National Catering Executives, Texas Restaurants Association, Human Resource Managers Association, and Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance.
